Eastern European Students Association Amsterdam

The Eastern European Students Association Amsterdam is here to give students an insight into Eastern European culture. We are a group of students studying at the University of Amsterdam, united by our cultural background. We wish, by founding this association, to share this background with all students willing to know more about Eastern European traditions, culture and history, and to create new intercultural connections that would bring into light how different, but at the same time, similar our lives are. Getting to know students from various Eastern European cultures would be more exciting through the activities our Association prepares for the following months and for the next academic year. We hope that, by founding this association, we will be able to help Eastern European students feel more comfortable in Western Europe, while bringing students from other parts of the world closer to a diverse range of customs and traditions. Making connections with Eastern Europeans working in the Netherlands, to understand potential obstacles and challenges put forward by the cultural differences in one's working life, is another of our goals. By joining our association, you would be able to get access to career furthering information, various culture-based and social workshops and the omnipresent borrels!
