With the motto of “one Earth…our Family…for our Community”, we are an innovative local urban farm to is focused and driven to serve our community through the selling of our products to local restaurants and the public at our market and donating produce for the needy while treating our employees and associates as family to improve our only Earth through all-natural sustainable processes while eliminating waste.
Our ultimate goal is to feed humanity in a process that has a positive impact on our environment.
We are focused on eliminating all waste in our process and eventually want to be carbon neutral. Every part of our growing process is used in some way. When we harvest, all the product that is harvested and able to be sold is either sold or donated to local food pantries to feed the needy. The produce that is harvested and not able to be sold is donated to turtle sanctuaries. All other waste is composted for future use elsewhere on the farm. Our wastewater from cleaning process after harvest is captured and used in irrigation of our fruit trees. The aquaponic system itself recycles water in a closed-loop. We grow outside so we use natural light energy. We use natural organic nutrients to supplement to fish system and we use other natural organic products in pest control. Our lettuce is harvested, rinsed, packed and in coolers or delivered within 4 hours from being harvested. Our lettuce will stay fresh for at least 3 weeks if properly stored. We have the freshest produce available. We are expanding the variety of produce we are growing in our aquaponic system to include tomatoes, peppers, cucmbers and more.
We also have a variety of tropical fruit trees that include five different varieties of bananas, mangoes, papaya, lemons, cherries and more.
Additionally, we have several beehives and harvest fresh raw honey for sale at our market.
Lastly, we have a traditional garden with heirloom and specialty produce that we are growing in sustainable processes.
