Our Focus
We support families in Imperial and San Diego counties in navigating disability systems from birth through adulthood. We utilize a peer-parent model to share advocacy skills, conflict resolution strategies, supported decision making techniques, and – most importantly – our lived experience with disability and generic services.
Our Services
Staff customize information and resources to address the unique needs and circumstances of your family. We strive to strengthen each family’s connectedness to peers, to service providers and educators, to agencies, and to the community. We are not a provider of direct services to individuals with disabilities.
Our Affiliations
EFRC is a “Point of Entry” for California Early Start Services in partnership with the San Diego Regional Center. EFRC is a Family Empowerment Center affiliated with both Seeds of Partnership and Family Empowerment and Disability Council. EFRC is a Family Resource Center member of the Family Resource Center Network of California (FRCNCA).
