About Erste Group Card Processor
Erste Group Card Processor is a formal successor of MBU from 4.2.2014.
MBU was founded in the late 1993 as a common platform for development of card business in Croatia. From the local start-up, MBU gradually and in parallel with development of card business expanded outside of Croatia.
Since 2007, Erste Group is a major shareholder of MBU and MBU became shared service centre for Erste Group banks' card processing in Central and Eastern Europe.
Core business is payment cards processing, issuing of debit, credit and prepaid cards and acquiring on ATM, POS terminals and E-Commerce.
The fast growing card industry is innovative and subject to frequent technology changes - therefore banks need to compete with new products, high service quality and the optimized processing prices.
