We are disrupting the chicken and egg industry in the following ways: Our technology will save the lives of over 7,000,000,000 chicks globally each year. Current best practice for hatcheries is to cull the male layer chicks as soon as they hatch, because they do not lay eggs and hardly have meat. Saving small chicks saves big money. By automating the separation of male and female eggs as soon as they're laid, the industry will cut incubation costs in half. The cost of manual separation will also be eliminated. Early sex separation also increases feed-to-weight ratio in the broiler and turkey industries. Over 7,000,000,000 new eggs will be introduced into the market, to be used in the food, pharma and cosmetics industries.
