Established in 2017 by Dhruval Kanani, 88 is an architecture, interior design and product design firm that is young at heart and rooted in experience that spans decades. Creativity, customer-centricity, contextual design and consciousness — ideologies that form the pillars of meaningful design — drive us in our quest for excellence. We’re backed by a dynamic team sharpened by years of learnings in all aspects connected to facilitating good design. With the guiding principle ‘design that cannot be executed stays in the realm of imagination’, we embrace form and function with equal fervour, to deliver aesthetic solutions that are responsive to users’ needs. While the practice is inspired by a minimal, modern-contemporary language, open-mindedness and sensitivity to customer requirements make us receptive to change and welcoming of di!erent viewpoints. We follow a process-driven approach, which clarifies thoughts, presents solutions and establishes a design proposal before breaking ground. It also results in a streamlined, time-saving workflow that is beneficial to all stakeholders involved. Our portfolio straddles scales and typologies — high-end residences, penthouses, cafés and second homes, ranging from 1,000 sft to 25,000 sft. The architecture vertical specialises in concept-based designs for villas and second homes. Our passion for well-resolved details, however large or small, is realised through a design & build strategy — and intensified by 25,000-sft of semi-mechanised facilities focused on creating bespoke furniture using diverse materials and decorative techniques. We hope to present our own line of furniture in the near future.
