EimirLAB is a research group run by Dr. Alfredo J. Lucendo, focused in eosinophilic enteropathies and immunology of the digestive mucosa that has developed a prolific scientific activity since its foundation.
The scientific team has grown to form a multidisciplinary group made up of clinical specialists, basic researchers and resource coordination and management staff, capable of carrying out both clinical and experimental projects, oriented in a traslational way to respond to real life problems of their patients.
In addition, a multitude of clinical trials related to the different lines of active research in the service are currently being carried out, which have provided new therapeutic strategies to its patients.
Since January 2024, our laboratory has been part of the Networked Biomedical Research Center for Liver and Digestive Diseases (CIBEREHD), managed by the Carlos III Health Institute. This incorporation strengthens our commitment to research into pathologies such as eosinophilic esophagitis, inflammatory bowel diseases and celiac disease. Being part of this prestigious research network allows us to collaborate with high-level groups, optimizing resources and efforts to advance in the diagnosis, treatment and innovative solutions for digestive system diseases.
