South Kymenlaakso Vocational College (Ekami) is multi-disciplinary education institution with over 9000 students and 350 employees. Ekami offers vocational training and youth workshops for young people and adults. The college has 3 business units: Ekami Vocational Education, Ekami Consulting Ltd and Ekami Youth Workshops. Ekami´s official name is the Joint Authority of Education of Kotka-Hamina region. The Joint Authority of Education is owned by the municipalities of Kotka, Hamina, Pyhtää, Miehikkälä, and Virolahti. Ekami arranges education in the fields of humanities and education, culture, social sciences, business and administration, natural sciences, technology, communication and transport, social services, health and sport and tourism and catering and domestic services.
