EKWC

The EKWC is an international workplace where artists, designers, and architects explore the technical and artistic possibilities of ceramics. As an artist-in-residence center, the EKWC annually welcomes about 60 artists, designers, and architects from all over the world to experiment with ceramics. We do not only offer studios, workplaces, the most advanced equipment, and living space, but also the support of a team of technical specialists. Intensive guidance allows the participants, of whom 75% never worked with ceramics before, to realize their ideas. As a center of excellence the EKWC fosters artistic and technical research. The knowledge and understanding acquired are documented and spread internationally through publications, exhibitions, (online) masterclasses, and conferences.
