The Electrochemical Society of India (ECSI) has a rich heritage being one of the oldest and premier organizations that practice, promote, and educate in the field of electrochemistry and its allied subjects in India. ECSI conducts training programs, publishes scientific articles and plays a key role in developing several training programs for the dissemination of knowledge for a wide range of industries and academia. ECSI treasures more than 3000 precious books and has been the preferred platform for industry leaders and top academicians to interact and discuss cutting-edge technologies in the field of Electrochemistry , Corrosion, Batteries, Coatings, Electroplating and Forming, and other domains of electrochemical science and technology.
Although, it was started as an India section of “The Electrochemical Society of USA” in 1952 , the commendable efforts made by the founding president Prof. TL Rama Char and the support received from our members, ECSI was registered as an independent organization in the year 1964.
A significant activity of ECSI is the publication of the Journal of the Electrochemical Society of India (JESCI), which is presently completing 72 years of continuous publication. JESCI is a peer-reviewed journal and has been the preferred journal for several academicians and industrialists over several decades.
