Elektra Solar’s core product is the Elektra Trainer, a certified ultralight aircraft with outstanding performance. Its typical range is 240 km plus 30 minutes reserve, which can be increased to 300 km. In addition to its long range, the aircraft is truly versatile, as batteries can be added and removed on demand, glider aircraft can be towed, and payload tops 200 kg. The aircraft can be dismantled, stored in a trailer, and assembled by one person within an hour. In addition, for normal hangar storage, the wingtips can be removed and added within minutes.
Elektra Solar GmbH was founded in 2016, but its roots date back to 2011, when the Elektra One electric aircraft was launched and Calin Gologan, one of the two current CEO’s, won the Lindbergh Prize for Electric Aircraft Vision in Oshkosh, USA. With a team of 15, the company is now manufacturing Elektra Trainer SN0006.
