Introducing the Elete Basketball Dribble league. Play "dribbling games" on your device powered by computer vision, augmented reality and machine learning! The official league to challenge players from around the world in ball handling games; an actual “eSport.” How it works: Starting off in high school, journey to climb the competitive ladder to college, and then to become a professional. Earn points by competing in dribbling games, helping you acquire advanced ball handling skills that you'll need as you level up when facing tougher competition. Problem: Youth and adult athletes spend the majority of their “sports time” playing organized sports, instead of developing their skills. Only the most dedicated athletes (20%) are willing to gruel through the lonely, isolation it takes to develop skills. The problem is the current model to acquire sports skills is boring and requires too much discipline. Athletes must participate in “drills” and “training” – terms associated with the military, and use methods that are outdated, not fun, and not social. Solution: Elete provides an experience for sports cohort communities (high school, college, professional) to compete in skill based leagues on their device at home. Elete is doing for real sports, what eSports did for video games, turning a what use to be an isolated experience, into a more social, fun and competitive league.
