ELG Metals UK Limited is one of the leading companies in the United Kingdom for the recycling of Stainless Steel and Alloy materials. Established in 1981, our UK Head Office is located in Sheffield, the home of Stainless Steel. We have a network of 5 strategically located operations throughout the country focusing on supplier and customer centricity. These operate with the latest equipment available to the industry. Our unique shredder (Densifier), located at our Sheffield operation, produces feedstock for steel mills worldwide. When it comes to logistics, we operate a modern fleet of own liveried vehicles serving both UK suppliers and customers alike. We have strategic long term partnerships to facilitate sea container logistics and operate our own wharf for bulk vessels. Our international trading team and logistics personnel are based in Sheffield. Materials are initially accessed with handheld devices and bench scope analytical equipment. Our industry leading laboratory uses wet chemistry and fixed equipment using Optical Emission Spectroscopy, X-ray, Atomic Absorption and Combustion Analysis technologies, measuring down to 1 part per million, operated daily by our multi-skilled technicians.
