Our company Elissa was founded in war-torn Lebanon in 1993, a bud of industrial hope in a failed economy. Our namesake comes from the Phoenician Elishat, queen of Tyre. She escaped the tyranny of her brother the king Pygmalion to Carthage and founded a new city there out of a bulls hide. Her legend speaks our story, furthermore representing our heritage and culture.
