The firm takes its name from Ms Ella Cheong, an internationally well-respected intellectual property practitioner who started professional practice in Hong Kong in the 70’s. In 1986, Ella Cheong set up the initial form of our practice in Singapore to meet the intellectual property demands of international businesses in this region and the rapidly evolving intellectual property needs of local businesses.
The practice has grown and adapted to the changing intellectual property landscape in the region over the years. Its present incarnation is the culmination of a significant wealth of experience and capability in intellectual property services represented by a well-known brand in intellectual property services in Asia which our clients can count on.
