El Peix al Plat

El Peix al Plat is a social enterprise, based in Barcelona (Spain), dedicated to sustainable fisheries and responsible fish consumption. The company organizes awareness-raising campaigns and workshop sessions to spread knowledge about the current status of the marine environment and to promote a responsible way to eat fish by the consumers. El Peix al Plat aims to encourage consumption of local and commercially lesser-known species from the Mediterranean in order to diversify consumer's diet and help preserving marine biodiversity. The company strictly cooperates with fishermen, fish suppliers, local restaurants and public administration, as well as research institutions, schools and NGO’s, converging efforts towards a sustainable use of marine resources. El Peix al Plat shares and supports a vision of the oceans and seas as a common heritage for the benefit and use of present and future generations.
