ELT Footprint

A meeting place for ELT professionals who have an interest in reducing the ecological footprint of our industry. Also for those ELT professionals who aware of the unique potential we have to influence and raise awareness in our students and colleagues of the positive impact that living in a more sustainable way can have. It started with the declaration of a climate emergency on behalf of the ELT industry by Daniel Barber during the closing plenary of the Innovate ELT conference in Barcelona on May 18th 2019. Inspired by Greta Thunberg's Fridays for Future, this quickly turned into a Facebook group less than 1 week later, which is now an incredible community where people discuss all things related to sustainability with an ELT slant. The facebook group was soon followed by a website where you can find a growing bank of useful resources related to sustainability for you to use in your professional lives.
