El Veinte ONG

El Veinte is a non-profit organization that seeks to contribute to the construction of an increasingly democratic society through the defence of freedom of expression and access to justice. To this end, we combat censorship through academic reflexion and litigation. Our work is to study, understand and eradicate the phenomenon of judicial harassment – also known as slapp- as a way of generating censorship and constraining public discussion. We also defend journalists, media outlets and social media users in courts directly and through our pro-bono network that connects them with lawyers committed to access to justice. Another major part of our work is to change laws, policies and practices that limit or violate freedom of expression in Colombia and to promote the adoption of new standards in our legal system.
