European Maritime Awareness mission in the Strait of Hormuz (EMASoH) is a maritime security initiative to promote safe transit and freedom of navigation for merchant shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf region. Currently nine countries participate in EMASoH: Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway and Portugal.
