IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society UPRM Student Branch Chapter

IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) UPRM was first founded in 2012 as a student club focused in promoting Biomedical Engineering at the undergraduate level. Later, in 2021 EMBS UPRM is recognized as a IEEE Student Chapter, being the first official sutdent organization whose vision and mission is to develop oustanding Biomedical Engineers/Bioengineers. As a student organization and UPRM not having an undegraduate program in Biomedical Engineering/Bioengineering, we sought to promote careers in the field, connecting with professors, undergraduate students conducting research in the field, and industry professionals to talk about their career paths. Not only that, we collaborate with industry partners to bring our membership perspective on the different workplaces one can become a Biomedical Engineer/Bioengineer.
