Emergency Decon Solutions Ltd. is an Indigenous owned company that was founded in 2020 by Anthony Punko. A local firefighter and Primary Care Paramedic with over 24 years of experience in the Emergency Services industry. Anthony volunteered as an Auxiliary RCMP member for over 5 years, as well as various organizations (Army Cadets, Minor Hockey, The Winter and Summer games) over the years while living in Fort McMurray. Anthony designed a custom-built Hazmat and Decontamination Response Unit for a local Oil and Gas Company, organized and built a Disinfection Program to help stop the spread of viruses for a local company, plus provided training for the special unit as well as the program.
Due to seeing and experiencing the challenges that Emergency Services Departments in the Region have in meeting NFPA, AHS, OH&S, and other Standards or Procedures, that are put in place to keep responders healthy and safe, Emergency Decon Solutions Ltd. was formed to help overcome those challenges. Emergency Decon Solutions Ltd. is local company that is committed to help Emergency Services departments meet current standards and to reduce the risks to the health and safety of responders from the duties they preform or from training they do.
EDS Ltd. provides professional services to decontaminate, disinfect, deodorize, and clean gear, equipment, tools, and vehicles. We provide certified inspections and complete repairs to gear and equipment. We carry products that also reduce those risks to the responders, helping keep them all healthy and safe. EDS Ltd. is a member of NAABA, NFPA, AIFEMA, and the Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce.
