Despite the shortage of emergency nurses, academic nursing programs are not preparing our students for the role of the emergency nurse. The Covid-19 Pandemic has exacerbated this shortage, pushing hospitals to hire more newly graduated nurses into their EDs in numbers never seen before. This is overwhelming the emergency nurse educators who cannot keep up with the demand on their time and the lack of experienced staff available to precept the newly hired. Emergency Nursing or Bust, LLC provides ED nurses with a wealth of experience who can be contracted to educate, onboard and precept new ED nurses in your department. I am the sole proprietor, responsible for the business development, website design, marketing, and product development. ENOB also has an online social presence which provides educational support and a mentor base for nurses struggling to acclimate into their new role in the ED.
