The innovative nature of Guelph-Humber has led the Media Studies department to create a class called Media Practices involving a large cross-collaboration project with Media students of all disciplines including Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Communication and Image Arts. In short, the Media class of 2014 collaborates to create a magazine (EMERGE Magazine) and host a conference (EMERGE Conference) over the course of the winter semester (January - April).
The EMERGE conference plans to explore the future of this decade and what trends the young professionals of today can expect to see in different industries of our ever increasing, socially connected world.
