Emerging Contaminants Research Group

The Emerging Contaminant Research Group (EC Group) is a part of the School of Environment at Tsinghua University (Beijing, China) and an essential component of the Tsinghua University Persistent Organic Pollutants Research Center, founded in September 2001. Since its foundation in 1998, the EC Group mission is achieving significant progress in scientific research and student education on persistent organic pollutants, endocrine disrupting chemicals, pharmaceuticals and personal care products, and other emerging contaminants. Thanks to our decennial experience, we have achieved remarkable results in training young talents and in developing theoretical bases, control technologies, and decision supporting policies on emerging pollutant, earning recognition at national and international level. Our goal is raising our credit in the international scientific community and becoming a leading national center for research and education on emerging pollutants. The EC Group has in great consideration ethical behavior in teaching and research, in order to train valuable students and achieve high level scientific results. EC Group members with collaborative spirit wish to make our workgroup the place for their common interests and a vector for their personal development and success.
