Independent experts and laboratories regularly carry out unannounced spot checks to determine the concentration of harmful substances. If the product meets the world's lowest limit values, it is allowed to carry the EMICODE® label. Building materials that have been awarded the EC 1 or EC 1PLUS seal fulfill the most stringent requirements for indoor air hygiene as laid down by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).
