Emi is a technology company on a mission to help people maintain happy and meaningful relationships in a busy world. Emi, which means smile in Japanese, is building products based on the latest psychological research that’s uncovered how intimate relationships are critical to every person’s health, happiness, and wellbeing. Its first product was a daily text providing short, actionable exercises. The text (or SMS) service launched in October 2018 and has already delivered over 250,000 messages to hundreds of couples across the country. Its second product is a relationship wellness app giving couples various ways to stay connected no matter how busy they are through short and actionable research-backed exercises and routines they can do in-app, over text, and in real life.
