MindMatters is a two-year community engagement initiative that is funded and supported by the Mental Health Initiatives Funding Scheme (MHIFS) of the Health Bureau of the Hong Kong government. This project aims to promote and disseminate the awareness of mental health among the major ethnic minority communities in Hong Kong through the support by our project's 'lay leaders'. Lay leaders refer to community leaders from a wide range of backgrounds (and of ethnic minority backgrounds themselves) who are provided with basic mental health first aid (MHFA) skills. This project officially commenced in April 2022, and will conclude by late-March 2024.
