The emerging markets oil venture (EMOV) was set up in 2019 to acquire oil and gas development and production assets in large hydrocarbon basins where strong governance, proven technologies and effective partnerships can generate differentiating competitive returns for partner governments and international investors. The starting point for EMOV was the creation of two regional business units: one is targeting the Caspian region and the other targets Latin America.
EMOV will manage these regional portfolios with equity and debt funding from institutional investors.
