Our History Empee Silks Fabrics was established 140 years ago and became a limited company in 1940. Since then it has continued to grow and develop into one of the UK's largest fabric wholesalers. The company traded for many years in the 'Rag Trade' area of London's East End. Under the current family ownership the company grew from one shop in Brick Lane in the 1960’s to 3 different shops in the area in the 1990’s. However to facilitate the company’s continued growth and provide a better service for our customers, we moved to larger premises of a 27,000 sq ft warehouse in Edmonton, North London in 2002. We provide wholesale fabrics to the fashion trade, wholesale and retail shops, markets traders, bridal wear manufacturers, event organisers, the theatre and film industries and clothing and craft manufacturers. We pride ourselves on offering customers the largest and most unique selection of regular and end of line fabrics at extremely competitive prices Our Warehouse We stock one of the most extensive ranges of fabrics in the United Kingdom, with over 6 million metres of fabric under one roof. To view all the fabrics you can enjoy walking around our warehouse, an Aladdin’s cave of fabric treasures as our customers regularly comment. Or you can sit comfortably in our sample show room and take your time to find exactly what you are looking for.
