EMPossible

The mission of EMPossible is to teach computation and electromagnetics to all levels of learners, from novice to expert. The course material uses high-quality graphics and animations to visualize and explain the concepts. In addition, coding sessions show and explain every line of code to implement algorithms and showcase the results graphically. Topics include basic electromagnetics, basic computational methods, root finding, curve fitting, linear algebra, solving differential equations, graphics, finite-difference time-domain, finite-difference frequency-domain, transfer matrix method, plane wave expansion method, rigorous coupled-wave analysis, and more. Devices such as photonic crystals, diffraction gratings, metamaterials, metasurfaces, frequency selective surfaces, antennas, transmission lines, thin-film optical filters, and more are explained and it is shown how to simulate using a variety of numerical methods.
