EMPOWER is tackling a key challenge in PV manufacturing—cost efficiency. The project will demonstrate disruptive innovations across the entire value chain, from silicon wafer production to high-efficiency, low-cost cell and module manufacturing. By leveraging alternative equipment and cutting-edge processes, EMPOWER aims to enhance throughput, yield, flexibility, and sustainability. Additionally, Industry 4.0 technologies will be integrated to optimize production efficiency and strengthen quality control.
