Empower Physical Therapy was created to change the way Alaskans view their health, to take charge of their own lives, and show that movement can heal. We have seen and worked in other clinics across the country where the attitude and culture of the clinic is cold and sterile. Where the providers feel like they are doing you a “service” by allowing you to be treated by them. We have seen the poor customer service and the packed therapy gyms where you are lucky if you see the PT or PTA for more than 5 minutes in a visit. Empower was created to turn this paradigm and treatment model on its head. We believe that the healing process can truly begin when you as the patient are truly heard and understood. We believe that our first and largest privilege is being part of this community and you choosing us to put our training to work and help you. We wanted to create something new and change the old view of therapy and medicine. We encourage movement and know that with the correct plan and treatment, movement can heal.
