EmpowerHERVenture

EmpowerHERVenture is a transformative initiative dedicated to empowering young single mothers and their children with disabilities in Sub-Saharan Africa. Launched on June 18th, 2024, this project is focused on providing comprehensive training, support, and resources to help these women build sustainable businesses and improve their families' lives. EmpowerHERVenture is supported by key implementors; Machakos County Government, D-Prize, IREX, and the Mandela Washington Fellowship, a flagship of YALI amongst other partners. These collaborative partnerships have been instrumental in driving our mission forward, allowing us to make a tangible impact on the lives of those who need it most. At EmpowerHERVenture, we believe that every woman has the potential to rise above her circumstances and create a better future for herself and her family. Our program offers comprehensive training in entrepreneurship, equipping our beneficiaries with the skills and knowledge to start and grow their own businesses. We also provide ongoing support to ensure their success, from business mentorship to financial literacy education. Our journey is filled with inspiring stories of resilience and triumph. We've seen young mothers overcome societal stigma, navigate the challenges of running a business, and build better lives for themselves and their children. Despite facing obstacles like loss of life, heavy rainfall and political unrest, our community's spirit remains unbroken.
