After the Erasmus+project EMPOWER.Ment focusing at people with Severe Mental Health Difficulties, this page developed becoming the referent for the EU Network for Wellbeing.
What is Wellbeing
it is a very multifaced state for people, involving a variety of dimensions, mental and physical, socio-economic and environmental. It deals with the sense of being trusted, valued, and a sense of belonging at work, in education, as well as in all the contexts we live every day.
Why it is so crucial to discuss/codesign Wellbeing
Global disruptive and unpredictable phenomena are affecting our lives; complexity is constantly increasing in every context, at work, at school, in the family. We are asked to be “resilient” to face this condition, but it is the overall quality of our lives to be at risk. There is no resilience without wellbeing.
As a proof, anxiety, discomfort, unsatisfaction, sense of loneliness and unsafety and mental health problems have been growing consistently among all the population groups, especially youngsters, because of the pandemic first and of war scenarios later, this after several years of financial crisis all over the EU.
What can we do together
We can join forces to improve things and to support most vulnerable people. We can address the different issues by discussing, reflecting, and finding possible solution path or, initially, we can start cooperating, for example by finding opportunities for co-design new projects and initiatives focused on wellbeing or by advocating and engaging relevant stakeholders for sustainable community development and quality of life.
