About Us Empowerment Plus mission is to empower most at-risk families break the cycle of poverty and become self-sufficient, contributing members of their communities. Established in 2003, the Empowerment Plus is a 501 © 3 non-profit, community based organization. Empowerment Plus : •Creates opportunities for children, youth, adults and families to contribute to their communities •Promotes partnerships among organizations serving young people, families, and adults •Helps organizations integrate empowerment approaches into their program services •Informs educators, human service practitioners, and policy-makers about the impact of empowerment strategies
