About The EMPowerplay Project
The EMPowerplay Project Partners facilitate the donation and implementation of multi-use sports and arts related facilities including its state-of-the-art hockey rinks, and the integrated support system, to ensure program sustainability to towns, cities, inner-cities and private-public partnerships, across North America. This initiative enables the introduction of the great sport to millions of kids (and adults) who for whatever reason, never had the opportunity to try the sport before. In doing so, the initiative also creates sustainable and profitable businesses that ultimately support and empower the communities they serve. Amongst EMPowerplay’s goals, the mission for inclusivity remains a major focus. For EMP, it’s not about finding the next Gretzky, Crosby or McDavid, but to mentor and help develop the next greatest character driven human beings and possibly even leaders. Bottom line - it’s all about access. Create it for those either unaware it exists or no means to get it, and you’ve got a recipe for success. EMPowerplay, in an effort to continue to build upon its industry leading connectivity platform, partners with many of the echelon of the sport including USABH, the NBHL to further the collective goal and help standardize the sport by creating a true growth of the game initiative. However, make no mistake – it doesn’t stop there. After all, this isn’t the "field of dreams" and just because EMP donates, builds and implements rinks Nationwide, doesn’t mean folks just show up. You still need to "go out and get them", and create opportunity and sustainability through a Nationwide resource and support system and all of that can be found through The EMPowerplay Project, and the Initiative’s Partner Program.
