Empty Kitchens Full Hearts relives poverty in Edinburgh by turning surplus food into meals and providing follow-up support for people in need. Meals are delivered to people’s homes, to community hubs, and to community lunches, after-school programmes, and other initiatives.
It was founded in April 2020 as a direct response to the coronavirus crisis. Since then, we have cooked, packed, and delivered more than 2 million meals.
