EMRIE is an Interreg Europe project (2025–2029) helping European mining regions align their policies with the EU Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA) and accelerate the shift to a circular, resource-efficient economy.
The project brings together 11 partners from 9 countries to improve six regional policy instruments, focusing on sustainable mining, land use, and innovation.

Through structured peer learning, stakeholder engagement, and policy reform, EMRIE enables regions to reduce import dependency, valorise mining waste, and create conditions for SME growth and innovation.
