Enabled Works is not for profit co-operative that deals with manual packing that cannot be done with a machine. We have a vision to promote and develop people with disabilities, helping them to achieve maximum personal success, and we directly support disabled workers in finding sustainable employment. Our in-house team is made up of our own disabled workforce, former employees at Remploy employment services.
We offer a supported workshop enterprise to provide employment, rehabilitation and potential placement opportunities for disabled people. Our main focuses are contract packing, electro/mechanical assembly, fulfilment, mailing and recycling.
At Enabled Works, we provide a learning centre for use by employees, trainees and local organisations to deliver on the job training and possible employment through our in-house packaging and production unit. This enables and equips our employees with the life skills and necessary experience for successful long term progression into suitable employment.
In addition to this, we offer a range of computer-based learning opportunities through our partnership with Fleetmasters Operational Support Services Ltd, including the internationally recognised European Computer Driving license. We give those with disabilities and mobility issues easier access to a range of training, personal development and employability courses to build their confidence and inspire them.
As a not for profit social enterprise, our income is directly invested back into Enabled Works to allow us to help and progress as many individuals as possible.
While all of our employees are disabled people, we welcome able-bodied and disabled volunteers into our unit, giving young people in the local community an opportunity to learn valuable skills and enhance their job prospects in future.
