ENABLE

The ENABLE project aims to address the burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) by reducing the prevalence of major NCD risk factors among pregnant women in Ethiopia. The ENABLE consortium will establish a programme to promote healthy eating habits, increase physical activity, and reduce exposure to air pollution within urban communities. Using evidence-based interventions tailored to local communities, the aim is to prevent non- communicable diseases and promote positive behavioural change among pregnant women and their children. The programme will be delivered by health care providers to individuals and community groups in four Ethiopian cities: Addis Ababa, Adama, Harar, and Jimma. The ENABLE project is funded by the European Union.
