Welcome to enact. We are a group of community workers, children, young people, families and volunteers who share life in Enfield Lock, North East Enfield. We exist to encourage and strengthen a great community; to become the best version of ourselves, and create a place where together we can all thrive.
Our mission is to support the local community to:
- Encourage participation to raise aspiration so we can see our true potential.
- Engage by discovering and exploring new opportunities so we can achieve what we dream.
- Enjoy by creating the society we all want so we are all included and treated equally.
- Enhance by moving from independence to interdependence so we can be a benefit to others.
There is something for all ages and we open the centre most days of the week with free to access, universal groups. Our dedicated team of 35 (and growing!) volunteers give their time to support the 80+ hours of clubs per month. Over the past year over 400 local community members have attended enact provision, with 70% attending several times within a given month.
Established in 2003, enact has supported thousands of local community members to take part in recreational and leisure activities and access tailored advocacy, mentoring and training support. enact is an inclusive community and is therefore open to anyone regardless of age, gender, race, religion or sexual orientation.
