Since 1985, when the firm carried out their first hydropower study, ENCO has been involved as consulting engineer in more than 60 projects in Italy, East Africa, Bosnia Herzegovina, Armenia in the hydropower sector:
• 48 SHPP (40 realized and currently working + 8 under construction or under approval) for a total amount of more than 75 million € works.
• 9 Feasibility studies/design of SHPP, for a total amount of 18 million € works.
• 4 Feasibility studies of 4 HPP with seasonal basin, 450 million €
• 2 Studies of hydropotentiality at a regional level (Bosnia Hercegovina and Armenia in consortium with Sogin and Decon)
Furthermore, as a demonstration of its experience and know-how, ENCO can share an important research project with other partners, in order to study a new type of hydro micro-turbine to be inserted in existing water lines. The project “Closed Pipe Hydro Turbine” has been granted the important acknowledgement: EUREKA n.6246 CLIPHT RENERGY.
