Encompassed Resilience Therapy provides therapy for pre-teens through adults who have experienced various forms of trauma, have struggled in their relationships, or have struggled with anxiety, depression and/or OCD. This practice works from a relational, attachment-focused, trauma-competent and family-systems approach. We consider the whole person, not just the symptom you are presenting with. We believe that symptoms don’t appear in a vacuum; they are brilliant, adaptive responses to what has happened, and sometimes, what continues to happen in a person’s life. This practice has a sincere commitment to seeing the whole person with each of our clients so that we can find the parts of you that need witnessing and healing for deep, real change. We believe that there is resilience within all of us and the key is tuning into what our body and mind are already saying to us.
Rachel Brittingham, owner and therapist, uses modalities such as EMDR, IFS, AEDP, ERP, TANT and NMT to help clients move past the things that have kept them stuck. Rachel has a particular passion for helping clients process their childhood trauma and family of origin issues; including clients who have experienced emotional neglect, addiction in the family (including ACOA or those in recovery), a family member who struggled with mental health, and those who have experienced abuse (emotional, physical, and/or sexual).
