Instead of contributing to the over 540,000 tonnes of gift wrap waste generated by Canadians each year, EncoreWrap® provides a waste-free way to wrap gifts. Families and friends can give gifts in reusable fabric gift wrap that is then folded and tucked away until the next celebration. EncoreWrap is also great for traveling (folds flat and doesn’t get crumpled). Multiple sizes -- including a versatile “Gift Basket” bag -- are available for different types of gifts.
Simple and convenient to use, EncoreWrap gift bags feature a unique “built-in bow” that is easily formed when the bag’s ribbons are tied.
Inspired by the Japanese tradition of furoshiki, EncoreWrap wrapping squares are double sided, increasing usability and wrapping options and can be used to wrap a large variety of shapes and sizes, including wine bottles (complete with a handle!).
Of heirloom quality, each EncoreWrap gift bag and wrapping square is consciously crafted using fabric from a variety of sources, including organic fabric from local suppliers and repurposing home decor remnants, thrifted second-hand linens, fabric purchased from the Textile Museum of Canada (donations that are used in fundraising for the museum) and Cheryl's own personal fabric stash made up of left-overs from past sewing projects. Many of the ribbons found in EncoreWrap bags are made from recycled plastic bottles. In short, as much as possible, EncoreWrap uses textile “waste” fabric rather than buying brand new.
