The company was originally founded by Dr. Frederick Buechel and Dr. Michael Pappas, the original developers of the LCS Knee System, currently manufactured by DePuy/J&J Orthopedic Division. In 2008, Endotec, Inc was acquired by Korea Bone Bank; a world leading orthopedic biologic research firm, and a leading supplier of human bone graft products and spinal implant systems. KBB is actively involved in advancing the science of bone healing through the development of recombinant bone morphogenic protein, intended for use in orthopedic procedures. This research is rapidly advancing, with KBB considered to be among the top research efforts in this market segment.
