Endzone Academy

Endzone Football Academies purpose is to develop Australian gridiron football players in all facets of life and establish them on the international stage. Our story starts in 2019 with Coach John Booker who was in Australia coaching the Brisbane Rhinos. He noted 3 teenagers had a shot at making division 1 football and set about developing a program to help them. It started with some resistance bands in the office and then grew to the lawnmower shed, at which point Strength and Conditioning coach Sam Arnold got involved. Since then, we’ve gone through many iterations and are now based at Perform360 Coorparoo and our fields are at Griffith University Gridiron Club, Nathan Campus. To date, 10 players have received 11 scholarships to colleges in the USA totalling almost 2.5 million dollars. In 2023 we have brought on board former Division 1 College Coach Makana Garrigan and will be incorporating a life skills component to the program. This includes goal setting, time management, financial literacy, nutrition and meal prep, recovery, public speaking, resume writing and interviewing. Our goal is for every player to develop the tools to make better choices in life which will in turn help them focus their time and energy on realizing their football dreams.
