The Energy Data Hub is coming to the market just as the Commodity Futures Trading Commission is finalizing requirements for energy companies to report their over-the-counter derivatives transactions to the commission via registered repositories. EDH has an ongoing team working to ensure EDH is able to report any nominated data to a repository on behalf of those participants that elect to do so. This means that in addition to all the market information that EDH will return to participants, it will now also be able to optionally provide any required transaction reporting into a registered repository. This is a major avoided cost for all EDH participants, by avoiding internal development work otherwise required to get data to a repository in compliant format.
