Iceland Renewable Energy Cluster

The Iceland Renewable Energy Cluster is a cluster organization founded formally in 2013 after several years of mapping and implementation. In the beginning, it was only focusing on geothermal but in 2018 it was expanded to other renewable energy resources like hydro, wind, and x-power The organization is a membership-based platform of companies in the Iceland energy market building on extensive experience in the utilization of the country's natural resources, with a focus on hydro, geothermal energy, and wind. The cluster's focus is on competitiveness, innovation and the promotion of the Icelandic energy sector and its companies. Founded as a geothermal energy-focused cluster, the Iceland Renewable Energy Cluster is now supporting the Icelandic geothermal sector through its Iceland Geothermal initiative, engaging with partners worldwide.
