Engage Biotech is a global health, biotechnology startup that is working to improve medical technology in developing countries with scarce economic resources that was founded in Washington State University course. The first product, SafeShot, will reduce the spread of blood borne pathogens resulting from contaminated injections.
Engage Biotech won first place at the University of Washington Health Innovation Challenge, and became the first ever non-University of Washington team to win a competition at the University of Washington. Then, Engage Biotech went on to win first place and best social impact at the Washington State University Business Plan Competition as well as fourth place and the WinWin Tri-Sector prize at the University of Washington Business Plan Competition.
The corporation is currently in the Jones + Foster Accelerator at the University of Washington.
