ENGAGING SPACES (An Ecologically Responsive Design Studio) Architecture|Interiors|Retrofit Design Solutions| Prefabricated Housing Solutions | Living Building Challenge Co- Founders / Directors: Aftab Khamisa (Australia) & Syed Mohammed Sarmad (India) Mission Engaging Spaces is a collaborative initiative striving to consistently formulate ecologically responsive bespoke Design Solutions. We believe that the first step in articulating any design solution is to carefully interpret factors ranging from the surrounding environment and society to the client’s needs, goals, and visions. This analysis gives rise to creative ideas that become the basis for a clear design concept, and this underlying concept in turn guides every aspect of planning, from overall structure to particular details. We believe this process - and the satisfying, well-developed spaces it results in – is at the heart of true Design. The same fundamental stance applies not only to Architectural Design but also to interior design, furniture, product, and landscape design as well. On the most basic level, we see our work as designing tools to enrich the workings of human life and the environment it is played out in.In each project we seek creative design solutions that bring us closer to this essential goal while embracing and respecting our natural resources.
